A huge leap has already been made in recent years with the collection of e-waste. This has risen sharply and the quality of recycling has improved. Nevertheless, the mandatory collection target of 65 percent has not been achieved. The purchase and use of electrical appliances continues to rise and so does the collection challenge. Based on this common interest, the OPEN Foundation initiated the (so-called) 65% Alliance. In it, the e-waste supply chain partners join forces, because without supply chain cooperation there is no circular economy.
