No producer responsibility
Thank you for completing the check. Based on your answers, we have found that you don’t have to comply with the Producer’s responsibility. Your company does not import or produce batteries or accumulators, market them in the Netherlands, or sell them from abroad to Dutch companies or consumers.
You can contribute too
You probably pay the management contribution on batteries and accumulators to your Dutch supplier(s). With this contribution, Stichting OPEN ensures, among other things, that these batteries and accumulators are collected through a national collection network, that consumers and companies are informed about the importance of separate collection and safe and responsible recycling of batteries and accumulators. In this way, you too contribute to a better environment.
Shop, webshop, or installation company
Are you based in the Netherlands and do you have a shop, webshop, or installation company and do you sell (products with built-in) batteries and accumulators? If so, you are subject to the take-back obligation. This means that you are obliged to take back discarded batteries and accumulators when end-users present them and ensure their responsible disposal.
